Some people love coconut and others don’t care for it at all. Personally, I think it adds great flavor to protein shakes as well as other foods.
On top of being a tasty treat for many, coconut also has a
number of positive health benefits.
As you might have guessed, today’s shake recipe is heavy on
coconut so if it’s not for you, no problem… just give this
one a pass.
Coconut-Whey Protein Shake
– 5 ounces milk (I prefer almond milk)
– 1 rounded teaspoon unsweetened coconut
– 1 tablespoon pure coconut extract
– 1 tablespoon honey (raw and local is best)
– 1 scoop whey protein (Kinetica Whey, vanilla is my choice)
Mix together well in blender and enjoy.
Variation: This would be great with chocolate or vanilla
whey… you could even use chocolate milk instead of regular
(yes, almond milk comes in chocolate too).
P.S. You’ve probably noticed we are a fan of Kinetica Whey… there
are a number of reasons for that including the fact that its
sweet organic whey is derived from grass-fed cows and it has
some benefits not available in most of the brands you’ll
find on the market today.
