Choosing protein.
When we get a customer on the phone or in our shop how do I go about picking the right product for him or her. There are so many different products on the market today that it’s an absolute minefield choosing the right product, whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned athlete it can be confusing.
First things first, we need to chat about what’s important to you, is it muscle building, weight loss, endurance or just a healthy fit life style.
Secondly budget, what is your budget? Let’s not forget that this type of lifestyle is about consistency and using the supplements that aid your goal every month. When we know your budget, we can pair you up with the right product for you.
Thirdly quality and taste, choosing a quality product for your budget and lifestyle, when I mention quality this doesn’t have to be expensive there are lots of products on the market today claiming they will do this and do that, and in 30 days! I’ve seen it in mags, abs in 30 days, pah! Not to mention the price, this stuff will cost you a fortune and it’s no better than the bulk powders of this world! But beware there are also sharks that are telling you on the net and retail stores that they have this unbelievable product that gives you 100 grams of protein per serving and you can have a bucket load for less than 40 quid and it tastes like McDonalds milk shake, rubbish, total rubbish! It makes me smile sometimes when guys or gals are happy to pay a 100 quid for a t shirt or a pair of shoes but when it comes to putting products in there body to reach their goals, they are happy to spend 20 quid on a tub that will last them 2 months! Don’t forget if you have a healthy and fit body you can wear what you like, you’ll still look good and feel good.
So what I’m saying is choose your budget, then look for the best product within that budget. Yes I know it can be difficult doing that when buying online as you can’t stand in front of the shop keeper and say “what’s your opinion”. Online you pay your money and you take your chance!!! Sometimes it’s better when trying a new product or just getting into training to go to your local supplement shop, yes you may pay a few quid extra but it’s worth it hopefully when you get good, sound advice and walk away with a product that suits your needs and will help you reach your goals.
